Air Force Common Admission Test- AFCAT

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is led by the Indian Air Force. The test is held every year in February and August, solely, to pick-up Class-I Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical).

AFCAT is a section for both male and female contenders who wish to join the Indian Air Force for both Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission/Short Service in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical occupations. 

Candidates are picked subject to their presence in the online test and Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) meet. Newcomers settling on Ground Duty (Technical) branches are required to show up in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).


Age Criteria

To apply for the AFCAT test, up-and-comers must know about the qualification models:

Instructive Qualification

For Flying

The up-and-comer must be an alumni with any degree with at any rate 60% checks in graduation. He/She probably scored 60% passed Physics and Maths in class twelfth.

For Technical Branch

Candidates must be either showing up or qualified for a 4-year degree and having finished Sections A and B Examination of Associate Membership of the Indian Institute of Engineers or Aeronautical Society with at least 60%.

For Technical Branch

B. Com. Graduate with at least 60% imprints. For training official post, the applicants ought to have MBA/MCA or M.A./M.Sc Degree in English/ Physics/ International Studies/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International Relations/ Defense Studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management/ Journalism/ Public Relation/ Mass Communication with least of 50% and have scored least 60% in graduation.

Selection Process

The inquiries in English Language will be posed from Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/Filling in of right word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases. 

Inquiries in this segment will be posed from History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Sports, and so forth. 

In this segment, applicants will get inquiries from Number system, Decimal, Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, magnitude relation and Proportion and Simple Interest, Time and Distance 

Inquiries will be posed from Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
